Robbie Fulks seems to be able to write skewered country songs with ease. Through his 20 year career his albums are layered with songs that contained inventive word play and sometimes side splitting turns of phrase. But those around his hometown of Chicago know that Robbie is also a master song interpreter. His weekly residence at a local Chicago nite club allows for nights devoted to the songs of some of rock and pops greatest icons. It is in this vein that Robbie donated to Joey’s Song his incredible live cover of Bob Dylan’s “I Believe In You”.
